VeraBank Welcomes Rich Berman as Executive Vice President and Regional President for Williamson County

Georgetown, TX – VeraBank is proud to announce the addition of Rich Berman as Executive Vice President and Regional President for Williamson County. With over 21 years of experience in banking and a deep connection to Williamson County and the Greater Austin business community, Berman brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for building strong relationships to his new role.

“We’re excited to welcome Rich to the VeraBank family,” said VeraBank CEO Brad Tidwell. “He’s spent nearly two decades building strong, trusted relationships throughout the region – and it shows. At VeraBank, relationships are everything. Our success as a community bank depends on the bonds we build and the promises we keep.”

Paul Gerling, Sr. Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer & Regional Chairman - Central Texas Region at VeraBank, shared excitement about the addition of Rich to the team adding, “Rich brings genuine care for customers, proven leadership, and a deep understanding of the region, making him a perfect fit for our team. Leaders like Rich truly embody those values, helping us stay rooted in the communities we serve and grow alongside them. His passion for local businesses and commitment to helping people thrive are exactly what sets VeraBank apart.”

Based in Round Rock initially, Berman will lead VeraBank’s Williamson County Commercial Banking team. His focus will be on recruiting and retaining top talent, fostering a cohesive team, delivering exceptional results for customers and the bank, and expanding VeraBank’s presence to better serve the diverse needs of local businesses.

“I am most proud of the deep relationships I’ve built in Williamson County and the Greater Austin business community over the past 18 years,” said Berman. “My customers have become good friends, and I feel a great sense of pride and purpose in helping them achieve their business and personal goals.”

Berman was drawn to VeraBank by its strong culture of teamwork, clear communication, and commitment to white-glove customer service. “VeraBank’s dedication to the communities they serve – customers, employees, and shareholders alike – aligns perfectly with my own values,” he added.

Throughout his career, Berman has been inspired by the resilience and determination of business owners. “I love learning about different industries and the unique challenges they face. It’s incredibly rewarding to serve as a trusted advisor, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their objectives,” he said.

Outside of work, Berman is deeply involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Heroes Resource Center, a non-profit organization supporting veterans and their families in Central Texas, and the Board of CFMA Austin, a trade organization for financial professionals in the construction industry.

Berman and his wife of 23 years, Sophia, are proud parents to three daughters – two in college and one in high school. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending concerts and festivals, golfing, and spending quality time with his family.
VeraBank is excited to welcome Rich to the team and looks forward to the positive impact his leadership will bring to Williamson County and beyond.
