VeraBank Flood Recovery Campaign Raises Over $350,000 for Central Texas Relief

Henderson, TX – VeraBank is proud to announce the successful completion of its Flood Recovery Matching Gift Campaign, which ran from July 21 through August 1. With everyone’s outstanding support and participation, our combined efforts raised a grand total of $354,181.51 to support communities impacted by the devastating July 4th flooding across Central Texas.

As part of the initiative, VeraBank committed to matching donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $75,000 each, for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and the WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund. The response from employees, customers, and the community was extraordinary, raising $14,281 for WilCo Cares Flood Relief and $99,900.51 for Kerr County Flood Relief. Additionally, VeraBank contributed $75,000 to each of these trusted nonprofit organizations.

  • Central Texas Community Foundation™ – WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund: Community donations totaled $14,281, and VeraBank made a $15,000 matching gift in addition to a $75,000 donation. Altogether, the campaign resulted in $104,281 total contributions to the WilCo Cares Relief Fund.
  • Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country – Kerr County Flood Relief Fund: Community donations totaled $99,900.51, and VeraBank made a $75,000 matching gift in addition to a $75,000 donation. Combined, the campaign resulted in $249,900.51 raised for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

“We’re incredibly moved by the generosity of our VeraBank family and broader community for stepping up to help these regions recover from unprecedented challenges,” said Brad Tidwell, CEO of VeraBank. “This effort was about more than raising money – it was about showing up for our neighbors in a time of need and standing together to strengthen our communities.”

Donations Still Welcome
While VeraBank’s matching campaign has ended, both community foundations continue to welcome donations to support ongoing recovery efforts. Contributions can be made directly through their official websites:

  • Central Texas Community Foundation™ (WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund): ctxcf.org
  • Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country (Kerr County Relief Fund): communityfoundation.net

These funds provide direct assistance to families, small businesses, and local organizations working to rebuild in Kerr and Williamson Counties.
