VeraBank Awards $12,500 in Scholarships to Outstanding Students

Henderson, TX – VeraBank is thrilled to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, awarding five $2,500 scholarships to exceptional students whose parents are part of the VeraBank family. This year’s scholarship recipients are:

• Coy Becka – Senior at Caldwell High School, Caldwell (Son of Melanie Becka)
• Zachary Leonard – Senior at Westlake High School, Austin (Son of Dan Leonard)
• Kahlen Mason – Senior at West Rusk High School, New London (Daughter Madison Hughes)
• Aspen Woodall – Attending Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, LA (Daughter of Katie Woodall)
• Garrett Woodall – Senior at Sabine High School, Liberty City (Son of Katie Woodall)

Since the launch of the VeraBank Scholarship Program in 2017, the bank has proudly awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to 50 deserving students, underscoring its commitment to education and the well-being of its employees’ families.

Scholarship recipients are chosen through a rigorous blind review process conducted by a dedicated internal committee to ensure fairness and impartiality. The committee evaluates applications based on academic excellence, merit, school and community involvement, and the quality of responses in the application. By maintaining anonymity throughout the selection process, VeraBank ensures that awards are based solely on achievement and dedication.
