At VeraBank, we believe in coming together during challenging times, and we are here to support the recovery efforts. That's why we are matching your donations made through the links below, dollar-for-dollar up to $75,000, until August 1, 2025 — ensuring your generosity goes even further in aiding families and businesses in need.

We are honored to support both the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country (Kerr County Flood Relief Fund) and the Central Texas Community FoundationTM (WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund). Both community foundations are trusted, well-established 501(c)(3) nonprofits with funds dedicated to support local flood relief and recovery efforts.

In addition to matching your gift, VeraBank is also donating $150,000 - $75,000 to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and $75,000 to the WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund – providing greater support for those affected.

That means with your support, we have the potential to contribute a total of $450,000+ to flood relief efforts.

When you make your gift, you can choose which foundation to direct your donation and VeraBank's matching contribution.

About the Community Foundations

Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community FoundationTM are both trusted 501(c)(3) public charities dedicated to helping the region recover. Contributions directly support affected communities, helping families and organizations recover and rebuild after the disaster.

Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country

This foundation manages the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, supporting recovery efforts in Texas Hill Country communities including Boerne, Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. Donations help support local organizations providing rescue, relief, recovery services, and flood assistance.

Central Texas Community FoundationTM

Through the WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund, this foundation aids flood recovery in Williamson County, where the cities of Liberty Hill, Leander, and Georgetown suffered the brunt of the storm. Donations received will provide direct financial assistance to those in need.

How will my donation help the flood recovery efforts?

Your donation will directly support recovery efforts in the affected communities. Funds are allocated to assist with rebuilding homes, providing essentials for families, and supporting local organizations that are working on long-term recovery projects.

For every dollar donated through the VeraBank Flood Recovery Matching Gift Campaign by August 1, 2025, VeraBank will match contributions up to $75,000.

This means your impact is doubled, allowing for more resources to support those in need.

Where do the funds go?

All donations made through the VeraBank Flood Recovery Matching Gift Campaign will be donated to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and made to the Central Texas Community FoundationTM WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund, as designated by the donor.

In addition to matching every dollar you donate, VeraBank is also making a $75,000 contribution to both community foundations, providing greater support for those affected.

Can I track how my donation is being used?

Yes, updates on the fund’s impact and allocation will be shared through the community foundation’s websites or communications. This transparency ensures donors are informed about how their contributions are making a difference.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

If you have questions about tax considerations, please consult with your tax professional.

Yes, you will receive a tax receipt issued directly by the community foundation receiving your contribution. It will be sent to the mailing address you provided when donating.

Please note: If you are contributing to the CFTHC, those donations are being collected by VeraBank for the benefit of CFTHC Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and then given as one combined payment to the CFTHC Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. CFTHC will then issue you a tax receipt to the address provided with your contribution.

If you prefer to give directly to the CFTHC Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, please visit their site directly at Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. Just know, we are unable to track and include it in our matching contribution calculation.

Community Foundation of Central Texas has established a webpage specifically for tracking and accepting donations as part of the VeraBank matching gift. The button to donate to CFCT WilCo Cares Flood Relief Fund links to their website to make an online contribution.

Can I donate if I don’t have a VeraBank account?

Absolutely! You don’t need to be a VeraBank customer to contribute. Everyone is encouraged to donate and support the flood recovery efforts.

Is there a deadline for donations?

The deadline for VeraBank matching contributions is August 1, 2025. After that time, we will not be collecting donations and encourage you to contribute directly to the community foundations.
